The City Lodge Newtown in Johannesburg is clean, and the location is convenient - being close to the nearby station. The chef at the hotel prepares gourmet burgers that are out of this world, and the ribs are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chicken pizza is also a real bargain - with a thick topping full of chicken and cheese. Special thanks to the barman - Jacob - for his excellent service, and the manager - Bongani.

Very central location, just a short walk away from Sab World of Beer.

The room was not only nicely furnished, but beautiful too, and had central heating, a laptop-size safe, and flat-screen television. It had exceptionally comfortable bed and the staff were great people from security to receptionist...

It gave me peace of mind knowing that my valuables were protected during my stay. The staff were friendly and the location was convenient, making my business trip a comfortable and efficient experience.

The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center or office space where I could set up my laptop and work in a quiet and professional environment. This would have been beneficial for any last-minute preparations or important tasks that required focused attention.
